Pundakit - Mt. Anawangin Cast Away

With a detailed itinerary but too little preparation and info sharing, a group of ten peeps headed to Zambales with an 'amazing race' start - almost didnt make it to the bus whew! Saw a really tree-less, stiff mountain from the bayan and hoping against hope that that was not Mt. Anawangin as the sun was soooo on a shining mood! But yeah that was the one to climb... Geared up and started the climb at 2pm.. Met some climbers on the way too.. The heat was pinching, trail water turned hot water, never tasted a boiling gatorade 'til that time.. still, we had a bit of energy left for taking pictures and singing too! The view, wow... Its like walking literally on top of the mountain as there were no trees or bushes - you can see the whole thing like new zealand mountains only without the snow (hehe) We did a traverse and landed on a beach at roughly 6.45pm!
